How to enter

It's very easy to enter Newbury Carnival and entry is free!

You can download an entry form by clicking here and then either type details directly into the form (it's a Mircrosoft Word document), save it under a new name and attach it to an email to newburycarnival@googlemail.com If you prefer, print the form and post it to  the address shown.

Alternatively, you can simply send us an email including the following details (copy and paste the headings below into your email then add the detailsl):

If you would like your entry to be listed in the Carnival insert for the Newbury Weekly News which is being produced we will need your details by 6.00pm on Tuesday 19th June.
The closing date for posted entries is Monday 25th June and for emailed entries Wednesady 27th June.

£100 prizes will be awarded to each of the following categories:
  • the best musical entry
  • the best individual entry
  • the best walking entry
  • the best community group entry
  • the best youth and schools entry
  • the best business entry
  • the most imaginative entry
  • the overall winner.

We will also be running our fancy dress competition again this year - anyone is eligible to take part, whether or not you've participated in the parade.  To join in, come along to the car park of Woodworks Furniture in Pound Street at 1.30pm.  Then join in the Carnival Parade for the chance to win either £10, £20 or the first prize of £30.  Judging will take place at 4.00pm at the Kick FM stage in Victoria Park.  (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
