Parade details

  • The Parade commences at 2.00pm and entries can assemble in Pound Street from 1.00pm.  Click here to see the the assembly area in Pound Street on Google Maps.
  • Position in the parade is strictly ‘first come, first served’’.
  • The parade route is from Pound Street, into Bartholomew Street, Northbrook Street, London Road, Park Way and finishing in Park Way outside Victoria Park.
  • pirateJudging of entries will take place en route.
  • The prize giving will take place in Victoria Park approximately one hour after the finish of the parade.  
  • £100 prizes will be awarded to each of:
    • the best musical entry
    • the best individual entry
    • the best walking entry
    • the best community group entry
    • the best youth and schools entry
    • the best business entry
    • the most imaginative entry
    • the overall winner.
  • We will also be running our youngsters' fancy dress competition again, offering a number of prices worth a total of £100.00.
  • The judges decision on the day will be full and final.
  • Participants will be encouraged to shake buckets along the route. This can be for your own good cause; otherwise all monies collected will go towards the Carnival's Nominated Charity.
Lorries
